Using Velcro strips to mount pictures on your RV wall is one of the most common ways in which to do it. Velcro strips are inexpensive and easy to use. They hold tight really well. You just need to be sure you are using the right sized Velco strip for the photo you want to mount.

Velcro strips hold varies weight amounts so you need to get the one that will hold the weight of your photo. Unlike Method #2 below Velcro strips leave a residue when you remove them.

#4: Museum Putty

Museum putty is something I have never used to hang pictures or anything else for that matter. Museum putty is a blended rubber and is known for its ability to hold items in place even during earthquakes. If it can withstand the forces of an earthquake it should hold up well in an RV.

There are several advantages to using museum putty, such as :

  • It’s removable and reusable
  • It’s non-toxic
  • Easy to use for light pictures or unframed photos or art

You can also use it to hold items on a shelf or counter to prevent them from rolling off when you are on the road.

#5: Double-Sided Tape

Double-sided foam tape is an excellent choice for hanging pictures on the wall. It is a strong adhesive that is easy to use. The biggest drawback with double-sided tape is the adhesive can oftentimes be very hard to remove. If you prefer something that is just as good as double-sided foam tape without the difficulty of removal you should try acrylic double-sided tape.

Acrylic mount tape can be used for small pictures and sometimes slightly heavier objects.
