Let’s begin our review of the Sylvan Sport Go by looking at the construction. Go campers are manufactured in Brevard, NC. The frame is the backbone of the camper. For many obvious reasons, aluminum is the choice of metal for the frame. Aluminum is strong, corrosion-free, and it is lightweight which gives you fuel efficiency.

All aluminum parts are powdered coated. In addition, SylvanSport created proprietary aluminum extrusions to ensure a perfect fit on all trailers made.

The suspension system of the camper starts with their high-quality cast-aluminum wheels and premium tires. The axle is a Dexter torsion axle.

The camping pod structure is one of the SylvanSport Go best-selling points. The engineering that went into designing the camping pod is extraordinary. The camping pod start of with an aluminum outer skeleton that is TIG welded at their Brevard, NC factory.

The pod cover is a 5-layer ABS component and is automotive grade made to withstand the weather just like a car. The camping pod cover is bolted to them in a manner that allows it to expand in the heat of the sun without cracking.

Interior of Camping Pod

There are several cool features of the camping pod that make it far superior to tent camping. The interior is very spacious and the space is elevated, the tent is waterproof and setup up fast.

You have several dining and sleeping layout options. You can set up for just dining at a table that sits 4. Not only that, but you can also set up for sleeping as either 2 extra-large twin beds (80″ by 34″) or one king plus bed (80″ by 116″).

The tent of the GO is made from 220-denier ripstop nylon fabric. This material is 3X heavier duty than what you’ll typically find in a family tent.

The tent is seamed-sealed and completely waterproof. This eliminates the need for a rain fly. The doors are 3-way doors providing a screen, clear weather protection, and privacy. Vents have been strategically placed for optimal ventilation and full control.

Let’s talk about the versatility of the SylvanSport Go. It is not just a pop up tent camper, it is so much more than that.

Camp. Transport, Utility.

So we know we can go camping in a Go, but that is just one of the many things it can do, and do very well.

The roof rack is durable and easily hold kayaks, bikes, paddleboards or any other similar accessories you want to take along on your camping expedition.

Want to haul an ATV, well you can also do that with this camper. Now, most people would take a typical pop up camper and store since it can’t do much other than being a pop-up. But with the SylvanSport Go, you have the option to use it as a utility trailer. Easily haul a fridge, washer or just about anything you want. The rugged diamond plate platform is there for you to use.
